The survey and analysis of water and solid samples described in this report were carried out with reference to the request of P.T. CIPROCON outlined in the letters No.198/CIP-PB/VIII/82, August 14, 1982, No.115/CIP-PB/VIII/82 dated August 27, 1982 and CIPROCON workpaper “survey and Analysis Requisition for Water and Solid Samples – Balikpapan Refinery Expansion Project”. Samples of offluent water from outfall channels an sludge from bottom of oil catchers were collected on September 8, 1982 from locations as indicated in Drawing No.1A and 1B, and the analysis were conducted in LEMIGAS Analytical Laboratory in Jakarta.
